Our History
Second generation pharmacist Simon Reynolds started Pharmacy Alliance in 2002, with two specific goals in mind:
Empower independent pharmacies by increasing their profits, and provide innovative and effective retail tools and services to pharmacies.
For the last few decades, we’ve been able to do just that – growing our pharmacy network to over 700 members. Understanding the intricacies of pharmacy has allowed us to grow our service offering, equipping our members with the tools they need for success. Pharmacy really is in our DNA.

Darren Dye
Chief Executive Officer
Darren is Chief Executive Officer and has been with Pharmacy Alliance for over 10 years. In his time in the pharmacy industry he has become an industry leader and a champion for change whilst being passionate about the protection of the integrity of the industry.
Prior to Pharmacy Alliance, Darren spent 15 years at Woolworths Ltd holding senior positions both in the state and national office in buying, marketing and human resources. He graduated from Victoria University in Science and is a passionate and dynamic retailer.

John Campbell
Executive General Manager Procurement
John joined Pharmacy Alliance in July 2018. John has extensive retail, merchandise, procurement and operations experience in the pharmacy and supermarkets industries. In addition, John spent 2 years as head of sales for a national food manufacturer.
He is passionate about building collaborative relationships with wholesalers and manufacturers to provide unique solutions that meet consumer needs and allow pharmacies to create healthy communities.

Simon also has direct ownership of a number of pharmacies nationally with a combined turnover of more than $80m and has strategically consulted to pharmacies around Australia and to the pharmaceutical industry.
Simon is an authority on independent pharmacy and works closely with both government bodies and the Guild to ensure favourable industry outcomes. Simon is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and does not hold any directorships of listed entities.

Paul has held the position of Pharmacy Alliance Director since 2008 when Independent Pharmacists of Australia Group (IPAG), which he owned and founded; merged with Pharmacy Alliance.
Paul also sits on the Pharmacy Alliance Audit Committee and is a passionate community pharmacist who currently owns several pharmacies. In addition, Paul is also a Non-Executive Chairman of Allfin Financial services. Allfin Financial Services is an independent and multi-award winning financial services broker who understands the unique needs of the pharmacy market. Paul is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and does not hold any directorships of listed entities.
